One wonders if Stuff.co.nz got desperate after they tried calling the local Masonic Templars to try pinning the Christchurch shooting on them! After the October stuff article posted below appears two articles from this group Stuff.co.nz tried to contact. Their articles are from March 15 & 18 this year and would have escaped the stuff.co.nz reporters attention because it was in the MARCH dated pages of their news. This is the video of their site March 19, 2019:
The video above is essential viewing before you read the stuff.co.nz story.
The Knights Templar was a religious military order of knighthood established during the Crusades. Its name, aesthetics and rituals have been appropriated by multiple groups worldwide.
A group invoking a medieval chivalric order is offering memberships to Kiwis, citing “radical Islam” and “cultural Marxism” as global threats.
The advertiser calling itself The Knights Templar Order International (KTI) claimed people who paid $890 could become a knight and get a sword.
Members of Knights Templar groups in New Zealand urged people to avoid the offers. Wellington-based Knights Templar general secretary Phil Brooke said the deal “sounds like a scam”.
Online ads in the past fortnight told New Zealand readers: “Today the free world is fighting a life and death battle.” KTI linked to a YouTube account where Scottish activist Jim Dowson discussed topics including the Biblical serpent, Brexit, and the Extinction Rebellion movement.
Various groups worldwide use the Knights Templar name. The medieval order initially protected Christian pilgrims and grew to become an elaborate, mysterious multinational organisation in the 12th Century.
KTI said for memberships it required a person’s full name, address, occupation, date of birth, Christian denomination, marital status and professional qualifications.
“We may also require photo ID.”
The advertiser said it would not sell this information. It offered affiliate and “Full Sir Knight” memberships, offering to ship Spanish-made swords and daggers from the UK to buyers.
For $890, the group said it could supply an “official cape”, jewel, breast star medal, pendant, gloves and scroll of authenticity from a “Roslyn priory”.
The priory does not exist, according to a namesake Scottish chapel frequently and erroneously linked to the Templar in urban legends or conspiracy theories.
“Rosslyn Chapel, despite what you may read or view on YouTube, is not a Templar chapel and we have no connection with any modern day groups that use the word Templar in their names,” the chapel’s outreach manager Fiona Rogan told Stuff.
Charities Services listed three New Zealand groups with the name Knights Templar.
They were Central District Knights Templar Foundation, Northern District Knights Templar Foundation and Wellington Districts Knights Templar Charitable Trust.
A Northern Districts member told about the ads said: “I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole. Anybody asking for money like that, that’s not how we do things.”
He said members of his group must be Masons and focused on fellowship and charitable work.
He said his group did not claim descent from “the original guys” but used some rituals which the ancient order might have used.
Religious historian Professor Peter Lineham said the Pope dissolved the Knights Templar in the 14th century.
“There were a lot of suspicions it kept going,” Lineham added.
“There’s a certain appeal for some people to retrieve that tradition [of] chivalric notions and heroism, fighting for the cross.”
KTI provided a United States phone number, which rang without answer on Tuesday until a generic British Telecom voicemail greeting started.
Stuff left a message with a British phone number and contacted KTI by email.

49 Dead in NZ Terror Attack
49 people have been killed and 20 seriously injured in mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand, Christchurch.
Forty-one people were killed at the al Noor mosque. Seven people died at the Linwood mosque, and one person died from their injuries in hospital.
The suspects: Police said four people were taken into custody — three men and one woman. They do not believe there are any other suspects but said it was still an open investigation.
The charges: Police said a male in his late 20s has been charged with murder and will appear at the Christchurch court Saturday morning local time.
The manifesto: In a social media post just before the attack, an account that is believed to belong to one of the attackers posted a link to an 87-page manifesto that was filled with anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim ideas and explanations for an attack.
President Trump quickly condemned the attack in a White House statement. This was them followed with this message:
“The United States strongly condemns the attack in Christchurch. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with the people of New Zealand and their government against this vicious act of hate,” said the statement.
Other global leaders have also been sending messages of support.
We at the KTI add our voice to the chorus of condemnation. We are opposed to the Saudi/Wahhabi efforts to Islamise Europe through relentless and enormous funding of the spread of the extreme Salafist ideology that is at the root of Islamist expansionism and terrorism. But we have also exposed and repeatedly condemned the provocative ‘counter-jihad’ message being peddled by a well-funded network backed by billionaire neo-conservatives.
The simplistic and dishonest equation by the spokespeople of this network of all Muslims with the heretical and brutally violent Saudi Wahhabi sect, is as unfounded as today’s wicked attacks were unjustified.
The ‘Great Replacement’ to which the killer refers in his manifesto is an all-too real phenomenon, but to blame innocent Muslims for the failure of European people to have enough children to sustain their numbers, for the greed of capitalism for an endless supply of cheap immigrant labour, and for the anti-Christian agenda of the leftist and globalist elites, is akin to being hit over the head in a dark alley with a brick by a man in black – and responding by blaming the brick!
Except that, in this case, the victims were innocent human beings at prayer. Whatever the claimed or alleged intentions of the attacker/s, the only results of these dark deeds will be to provide the liberal elites with fresh excuses for even wider repression of free speech, and to drive more young Muslims into the arms of the Jihadis. No good can come of either response.
Let us be crystal clear: Anyone who attacks a place of worship, whether it be a Church, Mosque, or Synagogue, is the epitome of evil. Once again the normal people pay the price for the idiotic policies of our leaders and the online clowns who think war is a joke or a legitimate way to advance their own noxious agenda. We utterly condemn this attack in the strongest possible way. We are outraged by it and pray for the survivors and the families of the dead.
NZ Killer Claims Link To Fake Breivik Templar Group
The White Supremacist terrorist that shot 49 innocent men, women and children in two New Zealand mosques claimed he received authorisation from a fake Templar group linked to notorious mass-murderer Andres Breivik.
In his rambling manifesto, Brenton Tarrant claimed to have had contact with Breivik, although Breivik’s lawyers dispute his claims. A question and answer section featured in his manifesto claims he received authorisation for the terrorist attack from a group calling itself “Reborn Knights Templar.”
CSMonitor reported in 2012 that Breivik claimed to be a member of the “reborn Knights Templar.”
Breivik claimed the “Reborn Knights Templar” is “a leaderless network, made to be self-driven cells” and said “For militants, [Knights Templar] is meant to be a version of Al Qaeda.”
But The Telegraph reported that Breivik’s Knights Templar was an idea he created “from a character in the computer game World of Warcraft” and was something that “existed only in his head.”
Tarrant’s manifesto is not only poorly written but the lone nut appears to be ideologically deranged. He makes the claim that Black Conservative Candice Owens was a key thinker in shaping his ideology and goes on to say that his ideal state would resemble Communist China. Pop singers Michael Jackson and Madonna are also mentioned in his manifesto.
From there he delves into the world of white supremacist madness. Whilst carrying out the attack, the Pagan, neo-nazi black sun symbol was attached to his jacket.
Tarrant flashed a white power sign in his first court appearance.
The cries of help of one injured woman (she was killed outside the mosque, shot from point black range) was one of the most grotesque and heart-breaking images that one is likely to see.
To attack any denomination of worshippers is an act of pure evil. Unlike the satanists, pagans and white supremacists of the Alt-Right, the mission of the Templars is grounded in our Christian ethos. We immediately condemned the attack in Christchurch (and other terrorist attacks on Muslims) as strongly as we condemn attacks on Christians in the West.
The Knights Templar International is on record condemning the racist ideology that drove this clearly insane individual to slaughter innocent worshippers. Among our thousands of members are men and women of various races and nationalities. We have repeatedly condemned racism in all forms as ungodly and contrary to the teachings of Christ.
In “Templar Report: New Zealand Shooting”, the speaker states: “I’ve seen the video. He’s shooting wee kids trying to run away from him.”
This is not true. The video – purportedly from March 15, and described as a live-stream – does not show any children being shot while trying to flee. In fact, it doesn’t show any children in Al Noor Mosque at any stage. Furthermore, the heaps of “bodies”, which look like mannequins, are already in place, at the two end of the prayer hall, when the “gunman” enters the hall. His “shots” do no more than ruffle the clothes of these “bodies”, and leave no marks on the walls behind them. Clearly, they are not real shots, but probably blanks fired by a replica airgun.
As one analyst of the “live-stream” has remarked: “The only crime in this video is when he [Tarrant] goes over the speed limit.”
That should read “…at the two ends…”
